The four-day China Seed Congress and Nanfan Agricultural Silicon Valley Forum kicked off in Sanya, Hainan province on April 1, with more than 3,000 domestic and overseas participants attending.

During the main forum, organizers announced the 10 major events in China's seed industry for 2022; held a strategic cooperation agreement signing ceremony between the Sanya municipal people's government and Da Bei Nong Group, a high-tech agricultural enterprise in Beijing; and awarded some agricultural enterprises and products.

Additionally, this year's conference had 13 sub-forums, with 10 academicians and more than 150 experts invited to discuss key issues of the seed industry, thus contributing to China's seed industry and Nanfan Silicon Valley.

In addition to the main forum and sub-forums, there are also exhibitions and field displays showcasing seed industry achievements. More than 50 enterprises and institutions related to the seed industry chain have made a centralized appearance to display and exchange their latest achievements.

At the National Modern Agriculture Industrial Park in Yazhou district, organizers displayed nearly 2,000 crop varieties from 264 enterprises and institutions at home and abroad, covering rice, corn, vegetables, fruits, and miscellaneous grains.
